The Gen Z Revolution in Nepal has already rewritten history. In less than twelve hours, it toppled a government, dissolved a discredited parliament, and gave birth to a meritocratic interim cabinet. Yet revolutions are never one-day events. They are processes—and in Nepal, that process is unfinished.
Today, the interim government led by Sushila Karki is faltering. A respected jurist, she symbolizes integrity, but integrity alone does not deliver transformation. The youth of Nepal did not pour into the streets merely to reshuffle elites. They demanded a corruption-free Nepal—a goal no other country on Earth has achieved. That demand requires a bold new step: installing the Chairperson of the Kalkiism Research Center, Umashankar Prasad, as the Interim Prime Minister.
The Problem with the Status Quo
Karki’s appointment was meant to signal neutrality and competence. Yet the limitations are clear:
No Economic Blueprint: The interim government lacks the KRC’s detailed roadmap—cashless economy, nationalized banks, zero interest rates—that makes “corruption-free Nepal” more than a slogan.
No Organizational Muscle: Without grassroots structures, the interim government is a caretaker, not a vehicle for change.
No Long-Term Vision: Revolution requires continuity. At present, the interim leadership risks becoming a pause button, not a launchpad.
If left unchallenged, the revolution’s energy will dissipate, and the corrupt old order could quietly regroup.

Elections with Choice, Not Chaos: Every position contested by two highly qualified candidates from the same party, ensuring merit over populism.

Unified Vision: A single framework—the KRC’s corruption-free roadmap—guiding the nation.
No other institution has such a framework. Without it, Nepal risks slipping back into the corruption that suffocated it for decades. With it, Nepal could become the world’s first corruption-free nation—a beacon for the Global South.

The Gen Z Revolution is the boldest political experiment of our time. But if it stops here, it risks being remembered as a moment, not a movement.
Gen Z must act again. One more day in the streets, one more push, one more demand. To finish what they started, they must replace an interim caretaker with a visionary builder.
