Most of my friends and network thought I was strange for joining a Bitcoin wallet company
Crypto was definitely NOT sexy at the time
But when I interviewed with Coinbase and met with Brian, Fred and the early founding team, I had a feeling I would learn a lot from them

They were quirky, sure, but they also had this intense belief in Cryptocurrency changing the world despite 99.999% of people hating on it
It made working there very special because everyone was mission-oriented, EVEN when the market was in a lull and other people didn't believe in what they were building

But that requires having thick skin and patience
Many people who come into the space during good times have weak hands, thin skin, and zero patience
